Meet Dave

Seeking a way to save the doomed world, a crew of tiny aliens arrive on earth in their super-spaceship disguised as a human called "DAVE" (Eddie Murphy). On board the spaceship each miniature member of the crew is responsible for operating a different part of the body. As the aliens try to ensure that Dave fits in with his fellow humans in New York city there are some hilarious results - their mission is definatley proving to be more difficult then they had planned. Gather round and Meet Dave in this laugh out loud comedy for all ages, starring Dr Dolittle's Eddie Murphy. Join the crew of this spaceship to discover that there's a whole other world going on inside.

I have had this movie for a while and well, I can definatley say that I forgot how good it is!
It's unique story line is really what does it for me and as a fan of Eddie Murphy, I dare say that this film is quite funny and to my taste.

If you haven't watched this you really should. It's great as a family movie. The type which you could sit down, eat harribo's and popcorn with your family. Sounds fun doesn't it? :)

So there you have it. If you are looking for a movie to enjoy with family or even on your own for a laugh, then I definatley recommend this one.

The 'White' Trend

Recently, most celebs have been wearing white. I think this is down to the 'fashionista' Kate Middleton. .

Kate looks very feminine and elegant here by using the colour white for the Queen's Order Of The Garter. Her accessories also add to this look by wearing the beautiful white Jane Corbett hat and LK Bennett heels.

Dosen't she look lovely? She is definatley one of my style icons.

Colortrend Foundation Review

This foundation is much better used as a concealer than as a foundation. I do recommend this product but only if you are looking mainly for a product which can make your skin seem more radient and to cover up dark circles. I have this foundation in Ivory Beige and I do use it reguarly. I  add it on over my foundation to make my face seem alot brighter so I look much more awake.

Another advantage of this product is, if you have oily skin then this product would be perfect for you as it is an oil-free foundation. I don't have oily skin but like I have already said, it gives my skin that 'fresh face' look.
This product controls shine which is why it is great for oily skin.

I don't know where this product came from as I obtained it from my sister. She gave me this because she had far too many make-up products so don't worry, it wasn't because it wasn't good.

The only downside I could say about this foundation is that the consistency is quite runny. This is OK for me as I find that it applies better to the skin and is easier to blend but others may find it too runny in order for the product to work correctly.

Overall, I would personally give this product a 7 out of 10.

What should I do with it?

A few years ago, I recieved this necklace from my best friend at the time. She give me this because I think she was bored of it or she had no room for it anymore. At the time I thought this necklace was a symbol of our friendship but as we are no longer friends I don't want it anymore.

As you can tell, it is a bit worn out. I don't know what to do with it.

Please leave a comment with suggestions. Maybe I should give it to charity? Maybe I should give it to my cousins? Maybe I should give it to one of you lucky readers! Or maybe I should just simply throw it away. I'm not sure which is why I am interested in what you think!

Beautiful Balms

These Lip Balms Cost £5.00 Each and are from ASOS.com
These lip balms come in cute little tins from Figs & Rouge. They are not too small nor too big which means they are perfect to fit in your bag. They smell delightful although the 'Wild Cherry' is my favorite. In addition to this, the packaging is adorable! I think they are vintage.  They are multipurpose - Good for lips and Good for the Skin. There are two other's which I like - Aloe & Mint and Pomegranate.

I first got these after reading about them in 'Shout' magazine and they appealed to me because I am a lip balm addict! I love them. I don't use them as much for my body as I do for my lips as I have tons of moisturizers but I am sure they work well for the skin too.

I highly recommend these balms so all you have to do is log onto ASOS.com :)

Thank you very much for reading

Cancer.

Recently, I have lost a very important friend. Someone who has been there for me when I have needed them most. Someone who acted like a mother to me when I couldn't see mine. Her name was Loraine. She was my dads girlfriend a while back. Although they split up it never stopped me from talking to her and thinking she was a close friend of mine.

She died of Cancer. As many people do. I was invited to her funeral but I couldn't make it due to the fact that I had no one to go with me. I feel rather guilty of that but I also know it's not my fault.

My thoughts are with her children at the moment.
Jenna and Logan, I am really sorry about what has happened. I can't even begin to imagine all the emotion you are going through right now.

I just wanted to post this to say R.I.P to Loraine. I'll never forget you.
Also, if this has happened to anyone else... I'm sorry and my thoughts are with you too.

Thank you for reading.

You miss me? Stranger.

I said that I wouldn't let this blog get personal but I think that is what it needs to be more interesting. So this is what I want to say.

Don't you hate it when guys say they miss you but they have had plenty of opportunities to talk to you and they haven't. I do. I'm not going to fall for it much longer. I have been IN LOVE only once... that was amazing with a tint of disaster. I loved him very much but in the end, I was the one who ended up getting hurt. That's when i realized that boys don't care about your feelings. They only care for themselves when they are teenagers. So why do they go that extra mile to confuse you? To make you think something you wish was true?

I was talking to this guy called Jack. I must admit, I had a crush on him and apparently he liked me too (he told me). However, that wasn't enough. When I asked him why he hadn't asked me out he replied with 'There are other girls who like me not just you'. I must admit that stung a little. In the end I got over it. I continued to talk to him like we were 'friends with benefits'. After a while he started freaking me out a bit by saying stuff like 'I'm horny' and 'Send me a picture please'. I stopped talking to him for a little while because I only wanted to speak to the sweet him. The him who would call me beautiful and call for me just so he could hug me for at least a minute. He didn't exist anymore. About two week later, he sent me a message. It read 'I miss you' I did send him one back saying 'I miss you too' hoping that he wasn't after only one thing again. He didn't send anything back.

Why tell me you miss me when you don't want to talk to me? It sometimes feels like all guys are players.

ShuffleBoard #1

Shuffleboard is where I will be listing the first 10 songs which appear on my phone when I set it on... Shuffle! I will also put links to the songs for you to listen too:)

1. Gwen Stefani - Luxurious
I love this song because it is very chilled and calm. Not many people know I have Gwen Stefani's music on my phone but secretly.. I love her music.

2. Taylor Swift - Enchanted
This song is just so relatable. I listen to this song when I am happy, sad, in love, angry... whenever! It always puts me in a good mood.

3. Beyonce - Irreplaceable

This is the song I turn to when I am going through a break-up and its catchy tune and lyrics always put me in a better mood.

4. Alexandra Stan - Lollipop
I really dont know why I love this song so much. I guess it just reminds me of the good old days when I used to plug in my headphones and listen to it with my mates at youth club. Ahh good times :D

5. Kesha - The Harold Song
I know why I like this song... It's because it is the only song by Kesha that isn't about getting drunk. I love the lyrics aswell I think they have real meaning.

6. Eminem - When Im Gone
When I was younger I had Dad issues. This song somehow reminds me of that time. Even though the scenarios are completely different this song really gets to me and helps me think back to all of the troubles I have had in the past and how I overcame them.

7. Ciara & Missy Elliott - 1 2 Step
This song is my all time favorite! I remember when I was about 11 and I used to dance along to it. I have never got sick of it. I just think it's awesome and makes me want to get up and get moving!

8. Track 14 (Whatever that is)

9. Paramore - Brighter
Although I am into a lot of pop and r'n'b I am also into Rock. Paramore is my favorite band and this song reflects how I feel sometimes. It's also very catchy.

10. Christina Aguilera - Hurt

This song is so sad! The first 10 times I listened to it I always cried. It makes my friend (Bex) cry too it's just so sad. This song is about her dad dying. It really shows emotion :'(

Family Guy Season Three

For Christmas I got the Family Guy Season 1-5 box set and I have watched this many times but for the moment I am just going to focus on Season Three...

Season three is the beginning of when Family Guy started to become a better standard. The graphics became much better and the episodes became much more creative.

I have quite a lot of favorite episodes from this season which is listed below:

1. A Very Special Family Guy Freakin' Christmas - In this episode, the Griffins (especially Louis) seem to find it difficult to keep everything in order and at the end, Louis finally cracks and ends up being mentally insane. She even climbs up the Christmas tree and gets shot down by the police (by a dart not a bullet). I like this episode because it basically sums up the reality of Christmas and not how it is shown in the movies.

2. The Kiss Seen Around The World - In this episode, Meg has a crush on Tom Tucker and ends up being an intern the local television station with her partner Neil. Meg ends up suffering from a near death experience as she and Neil is approached by a 'Mass Media Murderer' with a gun. As she is a few seconds from death she kisses Neil and it is recorded and put on the News. I like this episode because not many episodes are about Meg and she finally gets the spotlight. Although its not what she wanted.

3. Lethal Weapons - This episode is great. In this Louis becomes very familiar with Tae-Jitsu and peter uses this as an advantage. However, it all goes wrong when all the family become very violent all of a sudden. I love this episode because it is a great 'Louis Moment'. Particularly the scene where she shouts 'This is mine! This is where my babies come from'. Oh I do love to see Louis in action ;)

They are my top three episodes but here are more I like from season three:
4. Peter Griffin: Husband, Father... Brother?
5. Brian Wallows and Peter Swallows
6. Stuck Together, Torn Apart
7. A Fish out of Water
8. Screwed the Pooch
9. The Thin White Line
10. Road to Europe
11. To Live and Die In Dixie
12. Death Lives
13. Emission Impossible

Now, a list of the rest:
14. Brian Does Hollywood
15. Mr. Griffin Goes to Washington
16. One If By Clam, Two If By Sea
17. And The Wiener Is...
18. Mr. Saturday Knight
19. Ready, Willing and Disabled
20. From Method to Madness

Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway (Album)

This is a great album. I think it captures the real essence of this singer.
In the album, lyrics are provided so people can sing along to the tracks. I love albums which include the lyrics.
I have two favorite songs on this album. They are the famous 'Breakaway' which is the main song on the album shown by the title and also the  'Walk Away' which gives a true meaning on when a guy questions himself on whether or not to be with you, this is a sign to show he is not the one as he is having doubts.
That is the song that I listen to when I am having relationship problems and it really lifts up my spirits.
Overall, this album is amazing and has alot of meaning.

Songs on the Album:
1. Breakaway
2. Since U Been Gone
3. Behind These Hazel Eyes
4. Because Of You
5. Gone
6. Addicted
7. Where Is Your Heart
8. Walk Away
9. You Found Me
10. I Hate Myself For Losing You
11. Hear Me
12. Beautiful Disaster (Live)

Bonus Tracks
13. Miss Independant
14. Low

My 2p Machine Ring

Well, this is my ring. I got it when I went to Scarborough and basically, I went to the arcades and won it there. I do love this ring even though it is surprisingly cheap. However, I don't wear it out because as you can tell it is a very big and distracting accessory. It is also adjustable so anyone can wear it.
I know there is no point in keeping it as i don't wear it but for some reason I cannot find it in me to throw it away even though I have no emotional attachment to it. I wish I could throw it thought because it does crowd up my Jewelry box but aw well. I'll live. :)

Review

To me, this makeup brush set does it's job but it isn't 'extraordinary'.
It's a good price for all of the different brushes which come with it and perfect for those who have a passion for applying makeup but all I can really say is that the brushes do their job. I will continue to use these as the brushes which are included have a wide range.

Overall, I am please with using these brushes as I think there are many different brushes and are worthy of the price given. However, in my opinion, there is nothing special about them.

'The Enchanted Wood' by Enid Blyton Book Review

The first copyright date of this book was in 1939 so as you can tell this book dates back many decades. The author made this book a type of 'Fairy tale' as it is a children's books. The story is mainly about an enchanted tree named 'The faraway tree' which has different types of lands and adventures at the top of it. The book itself has pictures to help picture the different characters which the three children in the story (Jo, Bessie and Fanny) meet. When it was first published, the price of this book was 70p. I don't quite know how much it would be now as it is a very old novel and would be possibly found in some charity shops or old bookstores for around the same price. (ISBN 0 600 33168 7)

I am not sure what brought the Author to write a Novel with this type of interesting subject. However, she did very well with writing it as it brings a different point of view from children. Enid Blyton seems to have made this book rather peculiar which could make a child certainly think of the different possibilities in this world we live in. The book affected me in many ways, I personally think it helped broaden my mind and open up to all the possibilities there is in the universe. It has definatley helped me to see the different side of situations and I also think it has made my imagination much stronger. The book has reached its goal by making my mind think of the characters in the book and what adventures they could possibly get into next. It is safe to say that I would recommend this book as it has many different interpretations to it. It is perfect to be read to children because the many schemes which Jo, Bessie and Fanny go through would be any child's dream.

The book is about a wood which has many different surprises in it. The biggest surprise is the tree which, at the top, is a different world almost every day. There are also many lovable characters to meet which live in the tree itself! Them characters are Moon-face, the Sauce-pan Man, Dame Washalot and many more. It is a very unique story which many people would be interested in hearing more of.

The illustrations of this book are also worthy, the only bad thing about them is that there aren't many. However, the illustrations which are provided captures the scenes perfectly and also shows more of the characters and what they are like. The illustrations are in black and white but to me, that just leaves more imagination to this book.

This book is a Beaver book and their are many more like it. Such as, Amelia Jane is Naughty Again (This is a book about a naughty doll which gets herself into all kinds of trouble), Cooking is Easy (This is a Beaver original), Ursula Bear (A girl names Ursula wishes she was a Bear and the wish comes true but she had no idea how distressed life of a bear can be) etc..

To summarize, I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and I simply couldn't put it down. It may be an old Novel but it certainly got me stuck in a world of my own.
